About Daniel

Since being selected as the Liberal Democrat PPC for Richmond & Northallerton, I’ve been getting out to meet people right across our wonderful constituency and finding out which issues are at the top of your agenda as we edge closer towards the 2024 General Election. I’m hearing loud and clear that people here are sick to death with the mess the Conservatives are making, both nationally and in our area.

Just look at their record since Rishi Sunak became our MP: we’ve lost our only A&E department at Northallerton; the area ranks in the worst 4% of 650 constituencies when it comes to the amount of sewage dumped annually in our rivers and streams; and the spiralling cost of living crisis fuelled by Tory chaos in Westminster is having a crippling impact on local families and businesses.

Having been born and raised here, I’m saddened and outraged to see this happening to the area I will always call home. We cannot take another four years of this - we need and deserve change.

The good news is that change is possible, and up and down the country, in rural seats like ours, people are switching their vote to the Liberal Democrats as the only realistic alternative to Tory rule. Just look at our by-election wins this year across the county, reinforcing our position as the official opposition on North Yorkshire Council.

While Labour are openly admitting that Richmond & Northallerton is not a priority seat, I stand ready to take on the Tories. But to do that, I need your help. Are you in?

Whether it’s making a donation to my campaign fund, or delivering leaflets in your street or village, I’m always keen to speak to people who want to make a difference and can support my campaign. You can email directly at daniel@richmondnorthallertonlibdems.org.uk.
